Who Can Join Boardsports California Windsurf Camp?

Each camp offers a different progression level. See our pre-requisites below.

Why Join Boardsports Windsurf Adult Camp?

For windsurfers wanting to fast track their learning curve>

The key to progression in windsurfing is forming good habits early and to have solid stance fundamentals. These camps will increase your understanding of how to have the ideal stance that will be used for your entire windsurfing career, both in lighter winds and in higher winds. Learn to harness the power of the wind while riding without a harness. Learn how to turn efficiently. The better your foundation, the faster you will fast track into higher winds and the beachstart/waterstart. Immerse yourself into a multi-day camp to accelerate your learning curve! Our camp dates are organized by skill level, so see our dates below to pick the camp that matches your skill level and progression goals.

Tackstance

For advanced beginners wanting to progress to higher winds and increase your overall skill set>

You have mastered the basics, can tack and jibe, and are looking for skills to take you to the next level. Learn sail handing skills that will allow you to learn to beachstart. Learn footwork and placement that will help you efficiently harness the power of the wind, and hook in to a harness. When winds are light, increase your enjoyment through light wind freestyle that will help your foundation for higher winds as well. Learn how to tune your equipment (or our equipment) and understand how the sail should be rigged, where you footstraps should be, what a fin can do for you (type/placement), proper mast track placement, and what harness will suit you best.
